I'm a London based potter who designs and makes a range of hand thrown pottery intended for use in daily life.
Responding to the unique qualities of clay and glaze, I aim to make vessels that illustrate evidence of the making process.
I am equally inspired by Korean 'Punch'ong' pottery and English slipware. My pots are thrown loosely with red earthernware clay which is then coated in a thin white slip and transparent glaze and fired to 1220*C. The process creates a natural and non-uniform surface meaning no two pots are ever the same.
Currently my work consists of various types of drinking vessel, bowls, vases as well as dishes and plates designed for serving or presenting food.
